Alison Burt is a former program officer who works primarily in data gathering, vetting and analysis for CIC. Currently, she is a consultant helping to organize the data for the Review of Global Peace Operations, as well as researching topics on data gathering in social media, econometric studies of violent extremism, and the post-2015 development agenda. She also collaborated with CIC to produce many of the figures in the OECD States of Fragility Report 2015.
Previously, she worked for the Frederick S. Pardee Center for International Futures at the University of Denver as a research assistant and is currently involved in a project with SIPRI that takes a look at fragility outside of state-based systems. She has a B.A. in International Studies from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta and recently obtained her M.A. in Global Finance, Trade, and Economic Integration from the University of Denver.
