Nate Edwards is a Program Associate at New York University’s Center on International Cooperation (CIC), where he collaborates with the Pathfinders for Peaceful, Just, and Inclusive Societies team.
He primarily supports the Justice for All initiative, focusing on leveraging justice as a tool to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He oversees initiatives on access to justice for displaced populations and advocacy for people-centered justice. Additionally, he contributes to Pathfinders’ Justice in Conflict-Affected Settings portfolio. Previously, he worked with CIC’s Humanitarian Crises program, supporting efforts related to the humanitarian-development-peace nexus, migration and refugees, and financing for humanitarian and development projects.
While at Columbia University, he was a contributing researcher and author for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and International Organization for Migration (IOM) Multi-Year Roadmap for Cooperation on Migration and Sustainable Development in Moldova. He also completed a graduate consultancy with UN Habitat-Jordan, where he designed mechanisms to enhance community participation in public-private partnerships. Nate brings a background in US-based nonprofit management consulting to CIC alongside experience working on global and regional initiatives and specific projects in the United States, Brazil, Moldova, and Jordan.
He holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology from Carleton College.
