The High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) will take place from July 8, 2024 to July 17, 2024. The theme will be "Reinforcing the 2030 Agenda and eradicating poverty in times of multiple crises: the effective delivery of sustainable, resilient, and innovative solutions.”

State, Media and Migrant Flows
This panel will explore the pivotal role that media coverage plays in influencing international aid and responses to humanitarian crises. By examining case studies from each region to highlight how media representation, or lack thereof, affects the scale and nature of international aid, diplomatic interventions, and public advocacy efforts.

The United Nations Civil Society Conference will provide an opportunity for multi-stakeholder engagement ahead of the Summit of the Future and a venue for civil society to participate in the preparations process. The conference will provide civil society with an additional platform to speak out and share ideas that could contribute to the Pact for the Future negotiations, in line with SDG17 and the Common Agenda's vision of networked multilateralism.

May 9, 2024Voluntary National Reviews for More Peaceful, Just, and Inclusive Societies: Amplifying SDG16+ Messaging for the 2024 High-level Political Forum
Organized by Pathfinders for Peaceful, Just and Inclusive Societies, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and with the support of the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), this workshop aims to identify similarities and differences in SDG16 reporting across a diversity of countries presenting at this year’s High-level Political Forum and amplify common messaging on SDG16.

Data for Peace: Leveraging Data to Foster Lasting Peace
This fall, the NYU Center on International Cooperation, with support from the Complex Risk Analytics Fund (CRAF’d) and its partners, will host a five-day hybrid conference with national and international experts in the data for peacebuilding and prevention ecosystem to facilitate peer-to-peer exchange and leverage emerging technologies and data science methods to tackle the growing challenges across the humanitarian-development-peace and climate nexus globally.
