Thibault Camelli is a Program Officer with the Multilateral Reform Program at New York University’s Center on International Cooperation (CIC). A staunch advocate of multilateralism, he brings over fifteen years of experience spanning diplomacy, finance, and international public policy, including senior roles in national government, the European Union (EU), and the private sector.
Before joining CIC, he held senior diplomatic positions representing both the EU and France to the United Nations (UN) in New York, focusing on UN governance and institutional reform. He previously served in France’s Prime Minister’s Office and Ministry of Economy and Finance, where he advised on interministerial coordination and public sector reform. Earlier in his career, he worked for seven years at TotalEnergies and played an active role in high-level policy forums, such as the OECD, working on public–private financial cooperation.
He has lectured on European institutions, global taxation, and public sector reform at Université Paris-Dauphine, the French Ministry of Economy and Finance, and Université Panthéon-Assas. He has also authored policy notes and analytical reports on multilateral reform and peacebuilding financing.
He holds a master’s degree in management from HEC Paris, an LLM in international public law from Université Panthéon-Assas (Sorbonne Law School), and a master’s degree in political science from Université PSL (Sorbonne Group). A graduate of the École nationale d’administration (ENA), he is based in New York.
