“There is a need to discuss how peacekeeping [in the #DRC] should be restructured. One of the ways to do so is to give local people more power and invest more into finding solutions locally. And by locally, I don’t mean only local organizations at the bottom of cities and villages, but also helping to create more accountable, more responsible state institutions, which has been a problem for many years in the DRC.”
