Naomi George-Edward is a Program Assistant with the Multilateral Reform program at NYU’s Center on International Cooperation (CIC). She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration (MPA) at NYU’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, specializing in Public and Nonprofit Management and Policy with a focus on International Development.
Her academic background spans from Ethiopia, China, and the United Kingdom, where she studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and the United States, where she graduated magna cum laude in International Development and Social Change at Clark University.
She brings experience in policy research and analysis, program coordination, and multilateral cooperation, including through her internship with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) and as a graduate assistant in the NYU Wagner Dean’s Office. At UN DESA, she contributed to initiatives on subsidiarity, the localization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and digital governance—co-developing a Subsidiarity Handbook, designing an online training course, and presenting at the Africa Regional Forum in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Guided by a social justice lens, she strives to advance people-centered and inclusive approaches to global development policy.
