Renata Dwan is a Non-Resident Fellow at New York University’s Center on International Cooperation (CIC).
Renata is the Senior Consulting Fellow at Chatham House. Previously she was the Deputy Director of Chatham House, where she oversaw the delivery of the Chatham House research agenda and the institute’s 12 programme teams.
From 2018-2020, Renata was Director of the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research (UNIDIR) in Geneva where she developed programmes linking arms control to conflict management, gender, and emerging technologies. During her years in the UN she worked on peace operations and complex emergencies in Afghanistan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Haiti, Mali and Syria. She led major UN-wide policy initiatives on peacekeeping, security sector reform, and crisis management capacities.
