María Fernanda Rodríguez is a Senior Fellow at New York University’s Center on International Cooperation. Most recently, she was the Vice-Minister of Justice at the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights in Argentina. María Fernanda will be assisting CIC in promoting the Pathfinders Justice for All programs in Latin America.
In her previous roles, María Fernanda spent three years as the Under-Secretary-General for Access to Justice where she was in charge of the implementation of Access to Justice programs, including the Centers on Access to Justice. She was also the Sherpa to Minister Garavano, co-chair of the Pathfinders Task Force on Justice, and working very close with the CIC Pathfinders team on the conceptualization and drafting of the Justice for All report.
She is currently an Advisor to the Council of the National Magistracy, and a specialized consultant in human trafficking for the IOM in the Quito process. During her time at the Ministry of Justice, she also was the Executive Director of the Body of Lawyers and Lawyers for Victims of Gender Violence, the National Coordinator of the Federal Council for the Fight against the Trafficking and Exploitation of Persons and for the Protection and Assistance to Victims and the Executive Director of Project UNDP 16/022 “Promoting Sustainable Development Goals through access to justice for vulnerable populations.”
María Fernanda graduated from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and has a Diploma in Human Rights of the American University Washington College of Law.
