Emma Chevalier Trager-Lewis is a Graduate Student Research Assistant at the Center on International Cooperation (CIC) at New York University (NYU), where she contributes to the Prevention, Peacebuilding, and Protracted Crises program.
A dual French-British national and aspiring war correspondent, she is pursuing a Master of Science degree in global affairs at NYU’s School of Professional Studies, specializing in transnational security. Her research focuses on Salafi jihadism, particularly the split between al-Qaeda and ISIS, and the relationship between military interventions and the rise of Salafi jihadist movements.
