Anoushka Sinha, a social entrepreneur and human rights activist, has been advocating for gender and education equality since the age of 10, collectively reaching one million people through her advocacy, radio program, and grassroots initiatives addressing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Starting with local non-governmental organization (NGO) campaigns, to leading her own organization, she became India’s youngest radio jockey at 12. She later served as a regional ambassador for the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). Twice elected to the prestigious Young People Action Team at Generation Unlimited UNICEF and a UNESCO SDG4 YSN Network advocate, she works with international charities like the ONE campaign and Plan International to empower women and girls globally. She is also the youngest next-generation India fellow at the UN Foundation, leading gender equality. She is the recipient of the highest accolade a young person can receive for social impact, the Diana Award. She has been honored by UN Women and The Ford Foundation as their top 75 inspirational women stories. She has also been awarded/recognized by organizations like GirlUp, KidsRights Changemakers, PeaceFirst, NASDAQ, Yahoo, and Points Of Light. Her advocacy efforts have garnered global acclaim, and she remains dedicated to bridging gender gaps and empowering girls worldwide. As a Young Justice Leader with Pathfinders and NYU’s Center on International Cooperation (CIC), she is excited to turn the tide for women-centered justice in the global south.
