Dans le nord-ouest de la Syrie, 1,8 million d’enfants ont désespérément besoin d’aide humanitaire

Hanny Megally, CIC senior fellow and member of the Commissioner on the UN Commission of Inquiry on Syria, co-authored this op-ed in Le Monde explaining why the international community must commit to repatriating children detained in Syrian camps.

"Since mid-2019, nearly 5,000 Syrian children have been released from camps to communities in the northeast of the country, following "sponsorship" agreements with local tribes. A thousand foreign children have also been released and brought home. However, most foreign children remain deprived of their liberty, as their own countries refuse to repatriate them."
