Sampson B. Kwarkye
Sampson B. Kwarkye is currently a researcher at the Directorate of Research & Planning of ECOWAS’ Inter-Governmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA). Prior to joining GIABA, he was a research officer at New York University’s Center on International Cooperation (NYU/CIC) where he provided research support to research projects on transnational organized crime and other transnational threats and their impacts on governance, security, and development in developing countries. Mr. Kwarkye holds an MA in International Development from the University of Kent’s (Canterbury, UK) Brussels School of International Studies (Brussels, Belgium) and a BS in financial information analysis from Clarkson University (New York, USA, 2008). His research interests relates to issues of money laundering, terrorist financing, transnational organized crime, governance, and other issues pertaining to peace and security in West Africa.
