Following two years of research and mobilization, the Pathfinders Grand Challenge on Inequality and Exclusion is setting out a consultation draft of policy priorities for immediate and longer-term actions to tackle inequality and exclusion, with a particular focus on an inclusive and sustainable COVID-19 recovery. These policy priorities will serve as the foundation for a comprehensive menu of policy options for addressing inequality and exclusion, to be published as a flagship report by the Grand Challenge in the Fall of 2021.
In 2020, Pathfinders Grand Challenge on Inequality and Exclusion served as a platform to exchange governments’ and other stakeholders’ perspectives on the successes, lessons learned and challenges of addressing inequality and exclusion in the context of COVID-19, and sought to identify promising avenues for action and recommendations based on evidence-based, solution-oriented research by partners.
Throughout the Spring of 2021, the Grand Challenge will organize a series of exchanges to gather feedback from Grand Challenge members and partners on opportunities for domestic and international action to place equality and inclusion at the heart of COVID-19 recovery efforts. The policy priorities consultative draft will serve to guide these conversations, and sharpen the focus of the last stage of the Grand Challenge’s research
