United Nations (UN) peace operations need to shift from rigid, one-size-fits-all models to flexible, context-specific approaches. The increasing complexity of mandates often overburdens missions and dilutes their focus. Stronger partnerships with regional organizations are needed, along with better coordination within the UN system and proactive planning for mission transitions. Securing adequate and predictable resources to ensure peace operations meet their objectives is also vital.
