Join CIC and our coalition partners, ImPACT Coalition on International Financial Architecture Reform and Financing for Development, for a session to create a platform for dialogue and reflection on the progress made under the Pact for the Future, particularly in the areas of international financial architecture reform and financing for development. This session aims to identify opportunities leading up to the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development and the World Social Summit in 2025.

Thematic focus includes:

• Taking Stock: Reviewing the commitments under the Pact for the Future on the issues of financing and IFA reform, to understand what has been achieved and what remains to be addressed.
• Follow-up Strategies: Formulating and discussing concrete strategies to ensure that commitments are fully implemented.
• Areas Requiring Additional Efforts: Identifying areas within the financing for development agenda that require intensified efforts towards the preparatory process and celebration of the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development.
• Civil Society Engagement: Addressing the role of civil society in supporting these efforts, ensuring their active participation, responsibility and contribution to both the international conference and the broader financing for development agenda.

The structure of the session will be as follows:

1. Representatives from Member States and the UN system will provide their perspectives on the achievements and progress made under the Pact for the Future (15 minutes).
2. Coalition members will discuss additional needs and priorities for the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (55 minutes).
3. Co-leaders of the ImPACT Coalition will define the next steps and outline concrete actions to advance the work of the Coalition towards the follow-up of the Pact of the Future and the celebration of the International Conference in 2025
