Middle-Income Countries Play a Key Role in the Future of Development
The role that middle-income countries (MICs) play in post-2015 politics should not be underestimated. As Alejandra Kubitschek Bujones pointed out in her recent blog post, MICs have the potential to exert enormous influence on the global partnerships agenda.
Recently, in the Guardian’s Povery Matter Blog, CIC Senior Fellow Alex Evans takes that argument even further by stating that MICs will play a key role not just in post-2015 development negotiations but in climate change initiatives and sustainable globalization arrangements as well.
