World Leaders Draw A Grim Picture Of Women’s Rights, 25 Years In

CIC Deputy Director Paige Arthur was quoted in a Forbes article about the global status of women as the UN General Assembly commemorated the 1995 Beijing declaration.

“I doubt that many of the participants in Beijing 25 years ago would have imagined where we are today: while there is much to be proud of, it is shocking that the fight for equality remains so controversial and that champions like the United States have abdicated their leadership,” Arthur said.
