Heidi Franz is the Director for Finance and Operations with New York University’s Center on International Cooperation. A member of CIC’s senior management team, her principal responsibilities include donor stewardship, strategic budgeting, financial management, grant management, and financial reporting to donors and to internal NYU entities. Heidi also oversees operations including contracting, purchasing, human resources, and compliance.
Prior to joining NYU, Heidi served in a variety of finance and administrative functions in both public and private sector firms. Her past 10+ years were spent in higher education, including nine years as a senior member of the finance team in the Executive Deans Office with the School of Arts and Sciences at Rutgers-New Brunswick. There she represented the school in cross-functional projects which were foundational in building her understanding of the broader administrative issues in large research universities. Most recently, Heidi held positions with Teachers College, Columbia University as Director of Strategy for the VP Finance and Administration Office and as the Chief Budget Officer at a community college in Maryland.
Heidi holds a Master’s degree in public administration from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Illinois.
