World Politics Review highlighted a report by CIC's Congo Research Group on attacks that happened in Beni, northeastern DRC.
"Initially, local and international media and analysts, including the U.N. peacekeeping mission in the area, ascribed nearly all of these attacks to the ADF, which was increasingly branded as an Islamist terrorist organization. Yet careful research by the Congo Research Group, an independent think tank based in New York, found that the reality was much more complex."
