Budget and Finance Administrator
New York University’s Center on International Cooperation (CIC) over two decades has built a reputation for its work on the links between politics, security, justice, and sustainable development. Our core mission is to enhance international responses on the countries and issues most important to conflict prevention and recovery, through direct and regular engagement with multilateral institutions and the wider policy community. The Budget and Finance Administrator works as an integral part of CIC’s grant management and administrative team. This role will manage CIC’s budgets, producing financial reports, liaising with NYU’s internal financial and grants divisions, and performing associated tasks.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or related field.
A minimum of three years of experience overseeing financial and budgetary activities. Previous experience in and/or demonstrated knowledge of nonprofit finance and fund accounting is required.
Experience working within a global organization and handling international financial transactions.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong computer knowledge including advanced ability with Microsoft Excel and a highly developed understanding of spreadsheet and database systems. Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining strong attention to detail. Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems creatively. Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
