Alexis GuidottiVisiting Scholar
Alexis Guidotti is a CIC Visiting Scholar and PhD candidate at the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas. He is preparing a dissertation on human rights investigations conducted by peacekeeping operations, building on his experience in three different UN missions. In 2016, Alexis worked as a Human Rights Officer for the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA). From 2012 to 2013, he served as a Human Rights Investigator in the Special Investigations Unit of the United Nations Joint Human Rights Office in Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. From 2008 to 2010, Alexis was an Information Analyst in the Joint Operations Center of the United Nations Operation in Côte D’Ivoire (UNOCI). In addition to his UN field experience, he co-led the Study Group on Practical Challenges to Peacekeeping and Protection of Civilians at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and led seminars on human rights practice in the field.
