Has Peacebuilding Failed? The Shift to Sustaining Peace

Paige Arthur, CIC Deputy Director, was a member of a distinguished panel of peacebuilding practitioners for the Initiative for Peacebuilding through Education’s 2017-18 academic year kickoff event, “Has Peacebuilding Failed? The Shift to Sustaining Peace”.  The event was held at the NYU SPS Center for Global Affairs on Friday September 15, 2017.

6-7 pm: Reflections from the Field

Master of Science in Global Affairs students who have just completed summer peacebuilding consultancies abroad and in the United States will discuss their experiences as first-time peacebuilding practitioners and the potential significance to them of Sustaining Peace.

7:15-8:30 pm: Practitioners Panel

Hear the perspectives of three experienced peacebuilding practitioners about the importance they see in the Sustaining Peace movement, and whether it is truly implementable. face.
